Welcome to the Internet home of the Wake-New Hope Fire Department. We are located in North Eastern Wake County near Raleigh, North Carolina and maintain a Class 5 ISO rating. Our department consists of a combination of paid and volunteer firefighters that operate out of two stations covering a total of 27 square miles of district. We provide numerous services to the population including, but not limited to, fire suppression, fire prevention, medical first responder-defibrillation, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials response, and rescue. Our PurposeThe purpose of the Wake – New Hope Fire Department is to provide a range of services designed to protect the lives and property of the inhabitants of the Wake – New Hope Fire District from the adverse effects of unfriendly fire, sudden medical emergencies, or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature.
Company ProfileWe currently operate two stations with a total membership of 57. We have 10 Full time paid members and 46 volunteer members. Our Headquarters, Station 2 is located at 4909 Watkins Rd., and currently is covered by volunteers and is supported by paid firefighters Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 18:00 pm. Our original Station, Station 1, is located at 4415 St. James Church Rd., and is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and supported by volunteers.
